My favourite places for cookware are good ole Tangs & Takashimaya. However, many more specialty shops have sprung up in recent years, and they stock the most fantastic kitchen toys & hard-to-find ingredients! These are just a couple of them, and a number also do very good bakery classes.
Phoon Huat is a hot favourite as it has many outlets and stock the more unusual ingredients for cake making. However, it is now also possible to find previously difficult-to-find stuff like silicon bakeware, specialty flours, Ovalette, molasses, double cream etc in the big supermarkets.
